Healthcare Professional

Physicians, nurses, paramedics, and most other medical personnel need to be able to identify veins, blood, cyanosis, erythema, rashes, etc. There are certainly specialties that rely less on color, but getting through the color-reliant educational process will be grueling.

A minor issue with board games, being colorblind is major barrier to most computer games. Even the increasing number of games with colorblind modes usually miss the mark on simplifying object differentiation. As with physical sports, the extra time it takes to respond to secondary rather than primary identifiers results in embarrassing performance.

Finance

Financial professionals seem to love using a rainbow of colors on their charts and spreadsheets. It is apparently better to be in the black than the red, but they look the same to me. For these reasons, some job listings explicitly disallow colorblind applicants.
